OS Kantine

Where Recipes and Ideas Were Cooked Up Together (sometimes literally...and we prayed the fire alarm wouldn't go off)

What if dinner could spark a revolution? OS Kantine explored the idea that sharing food and knowledge around a table could lead to unexpected collaborations and groundbreaking projects.

Alright, it started as a theory.... That if you put people around a table, with food, and maybe some knowledge, something… revolutionary would happen. Or, at least, something more interesting than watching reruns.

OS Kantine was an attempt to test this hypothesis. They created these events, you know, where people would exchange skills and recipes. Like, someone would teach you how to use an app, and you'd give them a recipe for, I don't know, something edible. Anyone could join, which, in retrospect, was probably a mistake.

These events were supposed to be friendly and informal. Cooking, eating, talking about… topics. Someone thought, you know, hands-on experiences, like making a soufflé, would make learning easier. Well, I guess it makes sense. It's hard to have a panic attack when you're stirring a pot.

And, surprisingly, it worked. People connected. They had ideas. Ideas that, they claimed, wouldn't have happened in a normal setting. (Or, at least, not without a lot of wine and garlic.)

And, you know, we got fed. So, it wasn't a total loss.
