A Polymath's Manifesto
Sorry if it bacame a long story, I swear I worked hard to make it as short as possible
I am a polymath. So what? Does it seem old school? I know. But in today's hyper-specialized world, it's like everyone's trying to become a tiny, efficient cog in a giant AI machine. That's not cool either, life's too short to be just one thing.

I used to feel guilty about my diverse interests. I thought I needed to pick a lane and stick to it. But the fight to fit into a narrow box became exhausting. I realized I can't really win this fight, and more importantly, I don't need to.
What's more fun than being a Renaissance
man (or woman)?
Imagine being able to design a building, write a sonnet, and cook a gourmet meal all in the same day. Sounds exhausting, right? Well, it is. But it's also exhilarating. It's like trying to juggle a chainsaw, a plate of spaghetti, and a live chicken while riding a unicycle. You might get a few cuts and bruises, but at least you'll have a story to tell.
So, why settle for being a one-trick pony when you can be a whole circus? Embrace your inner polymath and let your mind wander. You might surprise yourself with what you're capable of.
If you're looking for something serious and corporate, like LinkedIn, you might want to skip this part and follow this link... (Oh, right. I forgot to actually put the link there. Typical me.) Anyway, it's about as exciting as watching grass grow in slow motion, trust me. I tried to set up a profile there once, but it was like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. My skills seemed so out of place, it was like trying to sell ice cream to penguins. And don't even get me started on the endless stream of self-congratulatory posts.
Anyway, you can find my LinkedIn profile... somewhere on this page. If you can manage to scroll past all the pumpkin soup recipes and selfies made by my five-year-old, you might just find it. It's probably buried under a pile of other useless information. I know I can't hide it forever. It's like trying to hide a cat in a room full of laser pointers. Eventually, it's going to find its way out and make a mess of everything. So, if you're brave enough, go ahead, fish for it, but don't say I didn't warn you.
P.S. (1)
If you're still stuck in the one-dimensional mindset, don't worry. You can always blame it on your genes. Or your upbringing. Or your lack of coffee. Or, you know, the fact that you're just not as interesting as Robert A. Heinlein. Just kidding. You can do it!
P.S. (2), The promise of polymathy
As far as I know, everyone could be a polymath, everyone should be, everyone is. If you think you're not, it's likely you're wrong. You just have to remember who you were before you were forced into a box. Society, with its focus on economic efficiency, often suppresses our inherent variety. But we deserve a more multifaceted life.
P.S. (3), Please be a polymath, the world has a big need for it!
Being a polymath isn't just about creativity; it's about embracing your full potential. Every second can be an exploration. You don't need a complete overhaul, just a shift in perspective. Life isn't about avoiding boredom; it's about embracing the richness of each moment. Challenges become opportunities, not crises.
We live in a complex world facing significant challenges. Maybe the solution lies in a new generation of individuals who can connect seemingly disparate ideas.
P.S. (4) One more word about the urge of polymathy
Listen, folks, I've got some bad news. AI is coming for our jobs! And I'm not talking about just any jobs – I'm talking about the jobs of the super-specialized, the elite, the ones who've spent their entire lives mastering a narrow skill.
Highly specialized tasks are prime targets for automation. Remember those chess grandmasters who used to think they were unbeatable? Well, they're probably playing checkers now, because AI can beat them at their own game. Not to mention accountants, lawyers, and doctors who are about to get replaced by machines that never make mistakes and never take vacations.
So, what's a human to do? Well, we've got one thing going for us: we're not machines. We're messy, emotional, creative creatures. As machines become increasingly adept at narrow tasks, the human advantage lies in our capacity for imagination, empathy, and innovation.
So, let's embrace our inner Renaissance men and women. Let's become generalists, masters of many trades. After all, we will always need a human who can tell a good joke.

The Boring Part: (hopefully not)
I'm Zoltán Csik-Kovács, born in 1974, allegedly a homo sapiens, but I'm still waiting on the official confirmation.
I'm passionate about combining art, technology, and philosophy to create innovative and engaging experiences. I thrive in collaborative environments and have had the privilege of working with several art and technology labs and design studios in the past few years.
My typical workday involves brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts, designing interfaces and writing code. I'm driven by design thinking, social innovation, and urban culture. My goal is to leverage technology to create meaningful and impactful solutions that address real-world challenges.
My skills to mention
I'm a seasoned creative technologist with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions. I excel at problem-solving, leading design teams, and transforming ideas into tangible products. My expertise spans interactive installations, product prototypes, and web and mobile applications. My ability to think creatively and visually communicate complex concepts allows me to collaborate effectively with designers and engineers.
My vision
Despite the challenges humanity faces, I remain fundamentally optimistic. I envision a future where big cities resemble forests, and technology seamlessly and transparently integrates into our lives, enhancing rather than hindering our experiences.
I'm drawn to the idea of small, mission-driven companies that prioritize ethics, social impact, and technological advancement. I'm particularly passionate about fields like fighting against misinformation, supporting sustainable development, women's empowerment, ethical banking, and the responsible use of emerging technologies. I believe in the power of technology to create a more equitable and sustainable future, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
SHORT SHORT SHORT: creative technologist (?), cross-disciplinary maker (?), interactive media designer (?), idea fanatic (?), accidental genious (?), Universe's most creative mind (?), (or at least that's what I think???) (?), ??? (?), (((?)))
